Deadly Shooting in Atlanta’s West End Leaves One Man Deceased
On September 28, 2024, at approximately 7:04 AM, Atlanta Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot at 898 Oak Street SW in the West End neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Grady EMS arrived shortly after and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. Homicide investigators, along with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office (FCME), responded to the incident to conduct an investigation and remove the body.
The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s office. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
