Troup County Deputies Investigate Fatal Shooting, Three Suspects Arrested
On August 28, 2024, at 4:22 p.m., deputies from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident at a residence on the 100 block of Montrose Way. Upon arrival, deputies and first responders found 16-year-old Kyren Rainn Johnson outside, having been shot in the chest and unresponsive. Johnson was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Troup County Criminal Investigations Division promptly treated the case as a murder, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses from the scene and neighborhood. Three suspects have been identified and arrested in connection with the shooting:
- Ankeivious Kewon Moore, 19, of LaGrange, charged with Murder (Felony)
- Jamicheal Williams, 18, of Warm Springs, charged with Murder (Felony)
- Nadilee Jade Martin, 18, of LaGrange, charged with False Statements/Writings (Felony) and Tampering with Evidence (Felony)
