Nashville GA Police Arrest Wanted Felon Following Traffic Stop, Discover Narcotics and Weapons
On September 18, 2024, at approximately 5:40 p.m., detectives from the Nashville, Georgia, Police Department apprehended Sonya Estella (Paschal) after observing her in the rear passenger seat of a vehicle traveling on Industrial Park Blvd. Estella had an active felony warrant for Aggravated Assault, stemming from allegations that she had brandished a handgun during a dispute earlier in the month.
The vehicle was stopped, and Estella was taken into custody without incident. Following her arrest, the vehicle’s driver consented to a search, which led to the discovery of a bag in the rear passenger floorboard. The bag contained several narcotics, narcotics-related objects, and Estella’s wallet.
Estella was transported to the Berrien County Jail, where she was booked on her outstanding warrants. In addition to the warrants, she faces new charges including:
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies
- Prescription drugs not in original container
- Possession of drug-related objects
