Robbery at Atlanta Check Cashiers Nets 0,000; Suspects Escape in Pickup Truck

On September 3, 2024, at approximately 8:30 AM, officers responded to a robbery at Atlanta Check Cashiers, located at 2457 Martin Luther King Junior Drive NW.

According to the reporting party, two unidentified males entered the business through the ceiling and accessed several cash drawers and a safe, making off with approximately $150,000 in cash. The suspects placed the money into a pink or red duffle bag.

The suspects fled the scene in an older model two-door pickup truck, which was either black or green, driven by a third unidentified individual.

Description of Suspects

  • The first suspect was described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 6’0” tall, and possibly in his 30s.
  • The second suspect was a dark-skinned black male, around 5’08” tall, with a slim build.

Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Robbery Unit are requesting the public’s assistance with providing information on the suspects.
