GBI Investigates Shooting Death in Thomson; No Arrests Made
At the request of the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, GBI agents are investigating the death of Calvin Hart Jr., age 39, of Thomson, GA.
On Friday, September 13, 2024, at approximately 5:15 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 1200 block of Royal Street, Thomson, McDuffie County, GA. Hart was found inside the home with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A GBI Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy at the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, Georgia. No arrests have been made at this time.
