Atlanta 19-Year-Old Shot in Dispute; Suspect Arrested

On September 15, 2024, at approximately 12:51 a.m., Atlanta Police Zone 2 officers responded to a report of a shooting at 3401 Northside Parkway NW. Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing, and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Officers detained the suspect, 47-year-old Ludge Wu, at the scene. Preliminary investigation suggests that a verbal and physical dispute between the victim and Wu escalated to gunfire. Ludge Wu has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. The investigation is ongoing.
