Atlanta Airport Assault: Suspect Detained After Confrontation with Shuttle Manager

On September 11, 2024, Atlanta Police responded to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport following a reported dispute. Officers found a male victim, a contract employee for an airport vendor, with lacerations to his face and hands. The victim, who is a shuttle manager, was alert and conscious and was transported to Grady Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had received a call from one of his drivers about an unsheltered passenger behaving erratically on the shuttle. The victim confronted the passenger and asked him to leave. During this interaction, the suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim.

The suspect fled but was later found and detained by officers hiding in a garbage can. The knife was also recovered nearby. The suspect has been identified as Jacarie Seymour. Arrest charges are pending as the investigation continues.
