Georgia Man Arrested on Four Counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children After GBI Investigation

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit arrested 47-year-old Michael Henry from Atkinson County, GA, on four counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children.

The arrest followed an investigation initiated by a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which alleged that Henry was involved in the online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The GBI CEACC Unit executed a search warrant at Henry’s residence, leading to his arrest. The Atkinson County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI regional investigative office in Douglas assisted with the search warrant. Henry is currently detained in the Atkinson County Jail.
