Former Buchanan Police Chief Clerk Charged with Theft and Fraudulent Records

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Anna Megan Brock, age 33, of Temple, Georgia, with Theft by Conversion, False Statements, and other offenses related to records, documents, and writings.

The GBI was requested to investigate by Haralson County District Attorney Jack Browning on July 16, 2024, following reports of missing citation money from the Buchanan Police Department. A significant amount of money was found missing from the department’s citation account. Brock, who previously served as the Chief Clerk for the Buchanan Police Department, is implicated in the case.

Brock was arrested on August 29, 2024, and booked into the Haralson County Jail. She has since been released on a $1,000 bond.
