CSX Transportation to Close Crossings for Maintenance in Crisp, Turner, and Wilcox Counties
CSX Transportation has announced scheduled maintenance at several railroad crossings on state routes in Crisp, Turner, and Wilcox counties. The closures will require non-local traffic to detour, with each crossing expected to be closed for five days. Dates are subject to change based on weather, railroad schedules, or other factors.
- Wilcox County: The crossing on State Route (SR) 159 at milepost 0.34 is set to close at 8 a.m. on September 17. Detour routes will include Hatley Road, Williford Crossing Road, and SR 90. Wilcox County officials have approved the detour onto county roads.
- Turner County: The crossing on SR 112 in Rebecca is scheduled to close at 8 a.m. on September 24. Detour routes will include SR 233 and SR 90.
- Crisp County: The crossing on US 41/SR 7 in Cordele is scheduled to close at 8 a.m. on September 24. Detour routes will be US 280/SR 30, Fifth Street, and Eighth Avenue. Cordele city officials have authorized the detour onto city streets.
