Commerce Man Arrested and Charged with Murder in Death of 19-Year-Old Woman
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Cesario Choc Caal, 23, of Commerce, GA, with felony murder, malice murder, and aggravated assault in connection to the death of 19-year-old Griselda Seb Acte, also of Commerce.
On Sunday, September 1, 2024, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI’s assistance with a death investigation. Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to a call for medical assistance at a residence in the 5000 block of Highway 82 Spur in Commerce, GA. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Acte had sustained injuries to her neck. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Caal was present at the home when the 911 call was made.
Caal has been booked into the Jackson County Jail.
