Atlanta Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Pomona Park

On September 4th, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM, Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of a person shot at 1870 Myrtle Drive SW, Harmony Plaza Apartments, in the Pomona Park area. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his left foot. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing, and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting may have initially occurred near the intersection of Myrtle Drive SW and Campbellton Road SW. The suspect(s) fled the scene before officers arrived. The Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
