Man Shot on Trestlewood Drive in Columbus Dies at Hospital
On Monday, September 2, 2024, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the 6200 block of Trestlewood Drive in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim, later identified as 38-year-old Marcus McLeod, lying on the floor with a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services transported McLeod to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:19 p.m.
The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit was called to the scene and has taken the lead in the investigation.
