Atlanta Police Investigate Shooting on Cooper St. SW
On September 2, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers from the Atlanta Police Department Zone 3 were dispatched to a report of a shooting at 429 Cooper St. SW in the Mechanicsville area. Upon arrival, they discovered a 49-year-old man who had been shot in the leg. The victim was found conscious and breathing, and emergency medical personnel transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim was unable to provide law enforcement with any information regarding the suspect or the events leading up to the shooting.
