24-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Emery Highway

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a person down on Emery Highway near Lexington Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, deputies found that a male pedestrian had been struck and killed by an unknown vehicle.

The pedestrian was identified as 24-year-old Jaxon Bilbrey. The coroner’s office has notified Bilbrey’s next of kin. His body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy.
