Man Shot on McDaniel Street, Seeks Help on Spelman College Campus
On August 29, 2024, at approximately 9:45 PM, officers responded to a report of a shooting at 350 Spelman Lane SW.
Upon arrival, they found a 25-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing, and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting occurred at 369 McDaniel Street SW. Following the incident, the victim ran onto the Spelman College campus to seek assistance.
Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
