Cartersville Police Arrest Two Men in Connection with Citgo Service Station Armed Robbery
In the early morning hours of Thursday, August 22, 2024, officers with the Cartersville Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery at the Citgo Service Station, located at 1204 West Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that a black male, wearing a mask, gloves, and a hoodie, had produced a handgun, demanded money, and fled in a light-colored passenger car.
Cartersville Investigators tracked the vehicle used in the robbery to an apartment complex in Dallas, GA later that morning. With the assistance of the Dallas Police Department, Mabery Ron Wilmore was taken into custody as he left the apartment complex.
Investigators discovered that Mr. Wilmore had been accompanied by Tyrane Roshaun Hudson during the robbery. Cartersville Investigators, along with members of the Bartow-Cartersville Drug Task Force, subsequently apprehended Mr. Hudson at a residence on Sharps Way, Cartersville.
Mabery Wilmore has been charged with Armed Robbery and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Tyrane Hudson has been charged with Armed Robbery, Trafficking in Fentanyl, and Methamphetamine. Both individuals are currently lodged at the Bartow County Jail, pending a bond hearing.
