Domestic Dispute Leads to Arrest in Hinesville

Earlier this afternoon, Thursday, August 22nd, a domestic dispute unfolded near the intersection of General Screven Way and S. Main St in Hinesville, Georgia. The incident involved a male who discharged a firearm in public before fleeing on foot. Hinesville Police officers from B-Watch and the Traffic Accident Investigation Unit responded promptly, saturating the area. The suspect was found walking near a business in the 100 block of W. General Screven Way and was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was also recovered. Authorities have confirmed that there is no ongoing danger to the public.
