Albany Police Arrest 19-Year-Old in Shooting Death
On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Albany Police Criminal Investigative Bureau arrested 19-year-old Jordan Amond Edwards. Edwards faces charges of Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. These charges are related to the shooting death of 19-year-old Aaron Donye White, which occurred on August 9, 2024, in the 300 block of Grant Place.
At approximately 12:50 AM on August 9, Albany Police Officers responded to a shooting at the specified address. Upon arrival, they found White suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Edwards has been transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
