Suspect Wanted in May Fatal Shooting on Venetian Drive SW in Atlanta

Atlanta Police Detectives are searching for 51-year-old Cleavon Battle in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on May 5, 2024. The incident took place at 1435 Venetian Drive SW.

On the morning of May 5, at approximately 8:43 AM, officers were dispatched to 1435 Venetian Drive SW in response to reports of an unresponsive individual. Upon arrival, they found a 43-year-old male who was not alert, conscious, or breathing. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Homicide Unit investigators are actively working to determine the circumstances of the shooting. During their investigation, they identified Cleavon Battle as a suspect.
