Woman Arrested for Shooting Near Elementary School in Macon

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Unit deputies have taken a female suspect into custody on charges of Aggravated Assault and Carrying a Weapon within School Safety Zones.

According to the report, the arrest followed a verbal altercation during which the suspect fired shots near John R. Lewis Elementary School. No one was injured, and no children were present at the time of the shooting. Deputies recovered the firearm and transported the suspect to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center without incident.
