Endangered Missing: Man with Schizophrenia Flees Snellville Hospital

On August 14, 2024, at 11:42 p.m., Snellville Police responded to a missing person call at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center South Campus, located at 2160 Fountain Drive, Snellville, GA. Jarod Neidlinger, who had been transported to the hospital for mental health treatment, fled the facility on foot. Neidlinger is diagnosed with schizophrenia, a condition in which he sees, hears, and interacts with his ideations. Authorities do not believe he poses a danger to the public.

Jarod Neidlinger has a history of evading law enforcement, including a recent incident in the Peachtree City area where he avoided search parties for several days. He is known to hide in wooded areas and may approach citizens for water.

Neidlinger is described as a 6’1” tall, 150-pound man with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was last seen wearing a blue hospital gown, gray shorts, and no shoes. His last known location was at the RaceTrac gas station at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Oak Road around 11:30 p.m. on August 14, 2024.
