Newnan Man Found Dead from Stab Wounds; Suspect Arrested and Charged with Murder
On August 5, 2024, at approximately 7:36 a.m., the Newnan Police Department responded to a report of a “person down” in the wooded area behind the Dollar General and Big Lots at 216 Bullsboro Drive. Officers arrived to find Jonathan Marquez Jackson, 28, deceased from apparent stab wounds.
Following the discovery, detectives interviewed multiple individuals who were believed to have witnessed or had knowledge of the assault. Terry Lee Rose III, 22, was identified as the suspect. Rose has been arrested and is currently held at the Coweta County Jail, facing charges of Murder and Tampering with Evidence.
