Four Arrested in Cartersville for Theft of Used Cooking Oil Linked to Gwinnett County Criminal Organization
After a six-month investigation, Cartersville Police investigators arrested four individuals linked to a Gwinnett County criminal organization responsible for the theft of bulk used cooking oil from multiple Cartersville restaurants. Similar thefts were reported across the metropolitan Atlanta area.
The individuals arrested and charged were Carlos Laguna, Freddy Aguirre, Luis Gaitan-Obando, and Yunier Eliuth Aguirre-Polanco. They face charges of Theft by Taking and Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime.
The Cartersville Police Department expressed their gratitude to the Gwinnett County Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
