59-Year-Old Woman Found Dead at Saint Simons Island Beach, Investigation Ongoing
Glynn County Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found on Tuesday morning, August 13th, at Gould’s Beach on Saint Simons Island. The woman, identified as 59-year-old Judy Marlow of Bremen, Georgia, was last seen by her husband, Mickel Marlow, when she went for a walk at Gould’s Inlet at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
Marlow was first reported missing to the Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) on Monday, prompting a search that included a K9 unit. The search was unsuccessful until Marlow’s body was discovered on Tuesday, just after 7 a.m., near the public beach access point at 11th Street.
The cause of death is currently unknown, and there are no visible signs of injury or foul play. The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy is scheduled to be completed this week.
