Man Shot at Gordon County Airbnb Party, GBI Seeking Video and Tips
At the request of the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating a shooting that occurred in Gordon County, Georgia. The incident took place on July 7, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m. at a large venue rented as an Airbnb in Fairmount.
Gordon County Sheriff’s deputies responded to complaints about loud music and discovered a man injured from a gunshot in the venue’s gravel parking lot. The party, attended by an estimated 150 to 200 people, had been advertised on Snapchat and shared widely. Most attendees were unfamiliar with each other.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made. The GBI is seeking tips from anyone who attended the party or has information or video related to the shooting.
