Former Jackson County Jailer Arrested for Aggravated Assault

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Ronnie Banks, 52, of Bowersville, GA, a former jailer with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Banks faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Battery. The arrest follows an investigation requested by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office into an assault that occurred during a domestic incident at a residence in Pendergrass, GA, on April 29, 2024. Banks was taken into custody without incident and has been booked into the Jackson County Jail.
