Atlanta Mayor’s 10th Annual 5K on the 5th Runway Set for October 5
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) Interim General Manager Jan Lennon will host the 10th annual Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway on Saturday, October 5. The event will welcome up to 2,000 runners early in the morning.
Participants will have the unique chance to run or walk on ATL’s 5th runway, noted for being one of the flattest and fastest courses in Greater Atlanta. The race is a USATF-certified 5K course and an AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program, supporting students with financial challenges and aiding in their career success and wealth building.

- Runway Lineup: 6:15 a.m.
- Start: 6:30 a.m.
- Finish: 7:30 a.m. (course closes)
- Awards Ceremony: 7:45 a.m.
