Teen Surrenders and Charged with Murder in Connection with Fatal Shooting of 20-Year-Old in Macon
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators were contacted by 17-year-old Cris Yair Blanco regarding his intention to surrender. Blanco met with investigators at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigations Office, where he turned himself in. He was interviewed in connection with the death of 20-year-old Gabreon Tyrese Harrison, who was fatally shot on August 1, 2024. Blanco was subsequently transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with murder. He is currently being held without bond.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal shooting on Thursday, August 1, at 10:18 a.m. at a residence in the 2400 block of Holland Drive. Upon arrival, deputies found Harrison suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported Harrison to a medical facility, where Coroner Leon Jones later pronounced him deceased.
