GBI Investigates Death of Manchester Man Shot by Brother During Domestic Dispute

At the request of the Manchester Police Department, GBI agents are investigating the death of Jaquavios Carter, 26, of Manchester, GA.

On July 30, 2024, at approximately 7:35 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on West Main Street. Upon arrival, they discovered that Carter had been shot once by his brother during a domestic dispute. Carter was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
