69-Year-Old Atlanta Man Stabbed in Unprovoked Assault on Headland Drive SW
On Sunday, July 28th, 2024, at approximately 2:10 AM, Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of a stabbing at 3030 Headland Drive SW. Upon arrival, they found a 69-year-old male with a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim was alert, conscious, and breathing, and was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was seated outside, using his cell phone, when he was approached and stabbed by an unidentified male suspect in what appears to be an unprovoked assault. The Major Crimes Response Team is investigating the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
