19-Year-Old Arrested in Connection with Fatal Broadway Shooting on July 7th in Columbus
On July 26, 2024, the Columbus Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, in collaboration with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Task Force, and additional CPD detectives, apprehended Markale Mickles, 19. Mickles is the second individual arrested in connection with the July 7th shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of Broadway, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.
Mickles faces charges including:
- Murder
- Two counts of Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
