Major Drug Bust in Cordele: Drugs, Firearm Seized, Multiple Charges Filed

On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at approximately 5:50 p.m., the Crisp County Special Response Team (SRT) and the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force (MSNTF) conducted a search warrant operation at 813 17th Ave West, Apartment B, Cordele, Georgia. An arrest warrant for Curtis Harper and a search warrant for his vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Tahoe, were also executed.

During the search of the residence, authorities uncovered suspected marijuana, a digital scale, packaging materials, and a pistol. Additional suspected marijuana was found in Harper’s undergarments at the Crisp County Detention Center.

Curtis Harper, 32, of Cordele, GA, faces several charges:

  • Possession of Marijuana (Felony)
  • Receipt/Possession/Transfer of Firearm by Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Tools for Commission of a Crime
  • Theft by Receiving Stolen Property
  • Criminal Use of an Article with Altered ID Mark
  • Crossing State/County Guard Lines with Drugs

The Mid-South Narcotics Task Force (MSNTF) works to combat illegal drug activities within its jurisdiction and supports programs aimed at reducing drug use and educating the community. The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office leads the MSNTF.

The Special Response Team (SRT) consists of members from the Crisp County, Turner County, and Dooly County Sheriff’s Offices.
