Gwinnett County Police Foundation Awards Scholarships and Receives Donation

During the Gwinnett County Police Foundation’s third quarter meeting held on July 18, scholarships were awarded to the dependent children of active Gwinnett County Police Department employees. These scholarships are aimed at rewarding and supporting students pursuing academic excellence and leadership. The 2024 Memorial Scholarships awarded included:

  • Officer Jerry Everett Memorial Scholarship
  • Officer Ralph Davis Memorial Scholarship
  • Officer Jesse Gravitt Memorial Scholarship
  • Officer Chris Magill Memorial Scholarship
  • Officer Antwan Toney Memorial Scholarship
  • Major Stewart Bozemen Educational Scholarship

Additionally, the Gwinnett County Police Foundation received a generous donation from First American Bank and Trust. The donation will support police officers, police K-9s, and other employees in the event of tragedy, injury, disaster, or unforeseen economic hardship. It will also fund outreach programs such as the Citizens Police Academy and the Youth Explorers Program.

The Gwinnett County Police Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization recognized as a 501(c)(3) by the Federal Department of Treasury, Federal ID #58-2515113.

Georgia’s “Law Enforcement Strategic Support Act” allows taxpayers to claim a tax credit for contributions to qualified law enforcement foundations, which supports local public safety efforts.
