Bibb County Deputy Apprehends Suspect Attempting to Breach Georgia Academy for the Blind
An off-duty deputy from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit observed a man wearing a ski mask and wielding bolt cutters attempting to cut a hole in the fence at the Georgia Academy for the Blind. The deputy, who was heading home at the time, immediately contacted dispatch for assistance.
A brief struggle ensued when backup arrived, leading to the suspect’s apprehension. It was later discovered that the individual was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was subsequently transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center without further incident.
