Man Arrested After Fleeing Police with Firearm at Warner Robins Walmart

On July 17, 2024, officers from the Warner Robins Police Department responded to a customer dispute at the Walmart located at 502 Booth Rd. During the dispute between 28-year-old Quintorrius Hightower and store personnel, Hightower retrieved a firearm from his vehicle. The weapon was neither pointed at anyone nor discharged.

Upon the officers’ arrival, Hightower fled on foot, prompting a chase into the store. Officers, with assistance from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, began searching for Hightower. They later discovered that Hightower had been picked up and left the area.

Shortly after, the vehicle Hightower left in was located near Sandy Run Rd. and Highway 247. Warner Robins Police Department officers and Houston County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area and took Hightower into custody. The firearm involved in the incident was recovered. Hightower had two active warrants from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Hightower is being charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Obstruction, Driving on a Suspended License, and held for the active warrants.
