String of Armed Robberies in Cordele  Investigation, Police Identify Vehicle Used

On July 9th, shortly after 9:30 PM, officers responded to a robbery attempt at the Family Dollar located at 704 N 7th St. Store personnel reported that a black male attempted to rob them as they were leaving for the night. The attempt was unsuccessful, and no employees were injured.

On July 13th, around 2:00 PM, officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Party Shoppe at 204 W 24th Ave Apt B. Two black males entered the store, brandished firearms, and emptied the cash registers before fleeing on foot.

The following day, July 14th, at 3:00 PM, officers responded to another armed robbery at In and Out, located at 306 S 7th St. A black male entered the store, pointed a gun at employees, collected cash from the register, and left.

Detectives have obtained a photo of a 1990s model Buick that may have been used in two of the armed robberies. A notable feature of the vehicle is the absence of black trim on the driver’s side door.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in these incidents. The Cordele Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding these crimes or the vehicle to contact the Investigations Division at 229-276-2921.
