Atlanta Police Investigate Multiple Shootings on Chattahoochee Avenue NW

On July 12, 2024, at approximately 2:14 a.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of a person shot at 935 Chattahoochee Ave NW. Upon arrival, officers found a traffic collision resulting from a male being shot. The male victim had already been transported to Grady EMS with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The male driver, struck by the victim’s vehicle following the shooting, was transported to the hospital in serious condition. While officers were investigating this scene, a second shooting call came in from two blocks away. Officers responded and found a female with a graze wound to her arm. She was alert, conscious, and breathing, and she refused medical treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the first victim was shot by a passing vehicle. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the second shooting near the initial crime scene. The investigation is ongoing.
