GBI Arrests Three, One Suspect at Large in Toccoa Shooting Incident
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged four individuals in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on June 29, 2024.
Zatorian Y’Deetris Lacy, 21, of Toccoa, has been charged with misdemeanor obstruction and disorderly conduct. Christopher Rentrell Lacy, 28, of Toccoa, faces charges of making false statements. Shane Ladarious Lacy, 20, of Toccoa, has also been charged with making false statements.
Additionally, warrants have been issued for Larquavious De’Shyne “Shyne” Colbert, 22, of Toccoa. Colbert is wanted for aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and discharging a gun near a public highway. He is currently sought by law enforcement.
The Toccoa Police Department requested the GBI’s assistance in the investigation following the shooting incident on Saturday, June 29th, at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Police responded to the Stephens County Hospital regarding a shooting victim who was later transferred to another hospital for further treatment. The investigation determined that the shooting occurred at a residence on West Whitman Street following an argument.
The case will be forwarded to the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
