Double Shooting in Oakland City Area Leaves Two Juveniles Dead, One Injured

On July 2, 2024, at approximately 12:36 AM, Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of juveniles shot at 1043 Sparks St SW in the Oakland City area. Upon arrival, officers found three juvenile males with gunshot wounds. Tragically, one juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene by Grady EMS. Another was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The third juvenile was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The deceased victims have been identified as Lamon Freeman and Jakoby Davis. Homicide investigators are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
