16-Year-Old Arrested for Aggravated Assault in Cuthbert

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Cuthbert Police Department arrested and charged a 16-year-old from Cuthbert, GA with Aggravated Assault. The arrest is in connection to a shooting that took place in Cuthbert, GA.

The Cuthbert Police Department requested the GBI to assist in a shooting investigation on Oak Street, Cuthbert, GA. A 16-year-old male was found shot and was taken to Phoebe-Putney Hospital in Albany, GA, where he received treatment for his injuries.

The juvenile suspect was taken to a Regional Youth Detention Center in Columbus, GA.

Once the investigation is complete, the case will be given to the Pataula Judicial Circuit for prosecution.
