Three Teens Arrested After Stolen Truck Leads to Police Chase in Crisp County
Early Wednesday morning (June 26th), a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy engaged in a pursuit near Omar Heights following reports of a suspected stolen truck in the area. Around 4:00 A.M., the deputy spotted a truck matching the description and attempted a stop. The driver, a 16-year-old male, accelerated and refused to pull over, leading to a brief chase characterized by reckless driving.
The pursuit concluded when the truck eventually stopped. Inside were three occupants: the 16-year-old driver, a 15-year-old passenger, and a 19-year-old passenger. All individuals were apprehended and turned over to the Cordele Police Department for further handling, as the vehicle theft occurred within city limits.
