Police Seize Drugs and Cash in Athens Raid, Two Arrested

On June 18, 2024, the Athens-Clarke County Police Gang Unit, with assistance from the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence on Rear Arch Street in Athens. During the search, officers seized $11,984 in currency, 4 ounces of marijuana, 1/2 kilo of cocaine, and 1 handgun.

Two suspects were arrested as a result of the investigation. Quran Amaru Steward, 25, of Athens, GA, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Stefon Alfred Robinson, 34, of Rochester, NY, was charged with trafficking cocaine.

The investigation was initiated in response to community complaints about illicit activities in the area.
