Police Seek Public’s Help in Theft Case at Cartersville Walmart

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman involved in a theft incident at a local Walmart. According to authorities, on June 13, 2024, at around 5:07 PM, deputies responded to the Walmart located at 101 Market Place Blvd in Cartersville.

Reports indicate that a customer had laid down her wallet momentarily at self-checkout register 9 to assist another patron. Surveillance footage from the store shows an unidentified female picking up the wallet and placing it into her diaper bag. The victim, upon returning to retrieve her wallet, discovered it was missing.

The footage also shows the suspect deceivingly pretending to help search for the wallet. The photos released by the Sheriff shows the suspect’s face, backpack and a distinctive tattoo on her right forearm.
