Atlanta Woman Arrested After Altercation with Police Officer at Peachtree Rd. Venue

On June 20th, 2024, in the early hours at approximately 3:18 a.m., an Atlanta Police officer working a secondary job at 3179 Peachtree Rd. NE responded to a disturbance near the venue where he was stationed. Security personnel were in the process of escorting a female out of the establishment when Christina Peterson, aged 38, approached and began yelling at the officers and security staff.

According to the police report, Ms. Peterson aggressively pushed the officer in the chest multiple times as he attempted to calm the situation and assist with the removal of the female from the premises. Despite warnings, Ms. Peterson continued to interfere with the officers and security personnel.

As a result of her actions, Ms. Peterson was placed under arrest for Simple Battery Against a Police Officer and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer. However, during the arrest process, she refused to cooperate by providing her identification, which led to a temporary delay in her transport to the Fulton County Jail.

Following further investigation and confirmation of her identity, the officer obtained arrest warrants from a Fulton County judge. Ms. Peterson was subsequently transported to Fulton County Jail for processing and remained in custody without further incident.
