Convicted Felon Arrested After High-Speed Chase and Crash in Bibb County

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office S.R.T. Unit deputies initiated a traffic stop on Houston Avenue after observing a Honda driver not wearing a seatbelt and driving a vehicle without a tag. The driver refused to stop and attempted to flee, losing control of the vehicle while making a left turn onto Newberg Avenue. The suspect hit a pole, exited the vehicle through the sunroof, and fled on foot. Deputies quickly apprehended the armed male, who is a convicted felon. A search of the Honda revealed narcotics, including Ecstasy. The driver was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center without incident.
