Suspect in Postal Employee Robberies Arrested in Muscogee County Operation

On June 5, 2024, the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, in coordination with United States Postal Inspectors, successfully apprehended Demetrice Sampson, who was wanted for the armed robbery of United States Postal Employees. The operation led to Sampson’s arrest without incident.

Sampson was subsequently transported to the Russell County Jail, where he is being held awaiting extradition to Muscogee County. He faces multiple felony charges, including two counts of felony armed robbery and felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
