Warner Robins Police Respond to Aggravated Battery, SWAT Team Activated

On June 4, 2024, at 8:14 am, officers from the Warner Robins Police Department responded to a report of aggravated battery at the 200 block of Johns Dr.

Johnny Knight and Youncy Toliver were involved in a verbal altercation, during which Knight assaulted Toliver by striking him several times in the face with a firearm, causing severe injuries. Mr. Toliver was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

During the preliminary investigation, patrol officers went to the 200 block of Wisconsin Ave to locate Knight at a family member’s residence. Upon their approach, there was movement inside the residence, but officers were unable to make contact with anyone inside. Due to the nature of the crime and the suspect being armed, the WRPD SWAT Team was activated and responded to the scene.

The Warner Robins Police Department advised the public to avoid the 200 block of Wisconsin Ave until the incident was resolved.

UPDATE: The Warner Robins Police Department SWAT Team made contact with Knight inside 209 Wisconsin Ave and safely took him into custody without incident. Knight requested medical treatment and was transported to a local hospital. The area is now clear for all traffic.
