Massive Marijuana Bust on I-75 in Peach County
Late last night, a Peach County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a southbound pickup truck with a camper shell on I-75. During the stop, the vehicle was searched, and authorities discovered 453 pounds of marijuana inside the camper shell. The marijuana was contained in shrink-wrapped bags.
The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is approximately $906,000, based on a valuation of $2,000 per pound.
Jia Bin Zhang, a 34-year-old resident of Norman, Oklahoma, has been charged with trafficking in marijuana. Zhang is currently being held in the Peach County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
