Columbus Police Arrest Woman in Childcare Abuse Case

Pamela Marie Cook, 61, has been arrested by the Columbus Police Department in connection with alleged abuse at Childcare Network, located at 3009 University Avenue. The arrest follows a comprehensive investigation conducted by the Special Victims Unit.

Authorities looked into three incidents involving victims under 11 months old. As a result of the investigation, probable cause was established for criminal negligence in the care of children at the Childcare Network facility. Charges have been filed in two out of the three cases.

Cook, who was identified as the responsible employee, had resigned from her position before the investigations concluded.

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Cook was taken into custody and charged with three counts of Simple Battery.
